Doctorates

Enssat is able to accommodate doctorate students within its research teams:

• UMR CNRS 6082 Foton Institute
• UMR CNRS INRIA 6074 IRISA Laboratory
• UMR CNRS IETR 6164 Multip team

Every year, approximately 50 doctorate students complete their theses at ENSSAT.

Enrolment

Enrolment for doctorates is generally undertaken following a research Master's.

ENSSAT offers three options:

• Rennes Univerity doctorate, distinction in Physics
• Rennes University doctorate , distinction in Computing
• Rennes University doctorate, distinction in Signal processing and telecommunications

Post thesis

Obtaining the title of 'Doctor' at the conclusion of three years of studies entitles graduates to pursue careers as researchers, teacher-researchers or engineering researchers. Individuals with doctorates are particularly sought after by small companies working in the field of cutting-edge technologies as well as larger corporations with research and development departments.
